I have had the best of intentions on writing more but have failed!
A few thoughts before I go to bed:
* My little guy has learned a few new words this week (top for stop, nigh-nigh for night night.). He likes to babble & talk which is so fun! Both my DH & I are introverts so I have joked around the 2 introverts may = an extrovert in our family = ).
* On the TTC #2 front, CD90 today. Still no sign of AF. It has been 7 days since I took my last provera. I am thinking since it is Friday tomorrow, I am going to call the dr to see what they think. I know it can take up to 10 days but with it being the weekend, if I have time at work, I may sneak a call into the drs office. Not sure why my body is not cooperating - I am mentally ready to go! Grrrrr!
Off to bed I go! Good night!! Hope all is well!

Exercise
I am not a fan of exercising but I have recently made a decision that I need to exercise in an attempt to be healthier. I actually have worked out 4 times over the last 8 days. It is amazing no matter how hard it is to get changed into work out clothes & step onto the elliptical machine, how much better I feel afterwards. I hope that I can continue to work out every 2 to 3 days.
I wanted to ask: how often is ok to work out during an injectable/iui cycle? And during the 2ww? I did not exercise much last time. I have visions of it impacting possible implantation although I know that is probably a crazy thought.
I am sad the weekend is over. May this week go by fast!

Happy ICLW!
Welcome! It has been a very long since I have participated in ICLW. As you can see, I have been terrible about blogging until recently. I really want to be better about documenting the happenings of my life a little better! I keep thinking how can I remember all the precious little moments without writing them down! And I thought participating in ICLW might help me in getting into the groove of posting again while at the same time being introduced to some new blogs I have not read before!
My history is on the side of my blog so I will not bore you with all the details. In summary - my DH & I tried for 3 years and on our 4th IUI/Injects cycle (after a failed IVF), we were blessed with our little boy in October 2010. We are just about to begin our journey to TTC #2. I am hoping & praying we will be blessed again but since I will be 40 this year, I know our time is limited. Once AF shows, we will begin an IUI/injects cycle! Come on, AF, so we can get started!
Thank you for stopping by! Happy ICLW week! Looking forward to getting to know you better!

Still Waiting CD84 & My Little Guy is 15 months!!
I took my last dose of provera last night and I still sit here on CD84 waiting for AF to show! I hope that the fact that I am feeling semi bloated and also that I have an extreme sweet tooth are both positive signs AF will be here soon! I am ready to get started! The only good thing is that I have new insurance starting on 2/1. My current insurance does not cover anything due to a very high deductible and my new insurance has a much lower deductible and I think (I hope) will cover u/s's and drs appts. Neither cover medications or procedures though so we are still out of pocket on those. So hopefully I will just have 1 or 2 appointments under my current insurance (which is OK as I have a credit with my drs office from our prior time with them.)
More importantly, my little guy is 15 months (as of yesterday)! Amazing! He is amazing, although I am a little sad as he is starting to not need mommy as much = ( He is favoring my DH at the moment = ( I know I have heard that this happens but it still makes me sad! I always put him to bed and tonight, he was upset when I took him off the couch (as he was sitting next to DH) to go to bed! Although, once we got upstairs to his room, he cuddled in my arms for a little bit!
He is just growing up too fast!! He actually said "No Way" to us this morning when I asked if he wanted to go eat some breakfast. And tonight, he was imitating us like crazy! It was so funny! He was standing on the couch and I said "sit down" and pointed down with my finger. He imitated me by pointing his finger down & smiling (and standing of course). A few seconds later, he sat down! My DH was blowing air and my little guy imitated right back, blowing air. I blew a kiss to him by putting my hand up to my mouth & then swinging my hand out. He put his hand up to his mouth just like I did! It is amazing to me how much he actually understands even though he can not say the words!
Have a wonderful weekend! Hope if you are experiencing snow & cold like we are, that you are staying warm and if you are in a warm weather location, please send some to us!! = )

Vacation Planning
Where should we go on vacation? Being that this year is our 10th anniversary & the year we both turn 4-0, we are trying to decide where to go on vacation. I have had some great suggestions (thank you) but am still undecided. I keep going back & forth as I want to make sure this is really special. So many questions - when, where, how long, etc? My in laws have offered to watch our little guy for up to 10 days this summer (which is so nice of them!) But do I want to be away from him for that long -- the longest we have been away from him is 3 days last year for my parents 50th anniversary party. I keep thinking that we should take this opportunity to celebrate, but then again, I feel guilty as it will mean being away from my little guy for a long time! And I think he is too young (15 months) to take on a vacation. I very much look forward to vacations with him, but I want him to remember them & have fun too!
What to do, what to do?!?!
The ideas we have talked about so far:
* Cruise to Alaska
* NYC
* Seattle/Portland
* Sonoma/San Fran (where we got engaged)
* Cruise to Mediterranean (this might be more than we can afford but it is still fun to think about.)
Other possibilities/suggestions were San Diego, Napa, Paris, Amsterdam, London. There are so many choices, I am feeling overwhelmed!!
The other question mark ringing in my head is TTC #2 and the big ole question: what if we are successful and I am pg this summer? Of course it is a big what if and who knows what will happen. I am trying to not let it drive our decision making but I can not help thinking about it! I have in the back of my mind, if I were pg this summer, what vacation destination would I like most. I honestly will be surprised if we are pg before this summer with how long it took us last time, but a girl can dream & hope!
It would be great to hear about any vacations that you have loved or would love to go on to celebrate special occasions!

We have a plan for TTC #2!!!
I finally called the RE today, CD73. I had wanted to call last week but work was so busy that I was not able to find time. And I think part of me was scared as well but I finally did it today! My DH & I talked about it about our plans over the weekend and I found myself more excited than scared!! And we have a plan! YEAH!
So our plan is:
** Take an HPT to verify I am not pregnant (which I knew I wasn't). I did this evening and it was stark white. I knew it would be but it is still not fun seeing that!
** Call tomorrow with results and if negative, they will call in a prescription for Provera.
** Call when AF arrives and first baseline U/S will be on CD4.
I am pretty excited to get started again in the next week or two! I now have to figure out how to work through all the appointments with my job, which I have only been in for 3 months! I hope they do not freak out at all the appointments. Hopefully there will not be as many this time and I will have my BFP sooner than later!
I am so blessed with my little boy. He brightens my day so much! But I want a sibling for him so much! I am trying not to get all caught up in the fact that I will be turning 40 this year and only have so much time. I think the best thing for us is to have a plan of how long we will TTC and how far we will go (will we do IVF again?). I know we will have more discussions about this. Right now, I am trying to be patient and not think about it too much (easier said than done!)
Well, here we go!! AF, come out - come out - whereever you are!!

Happy New Year!
It is amazing to me that it is 2012. This past year just flew by! My little guy is 14 1/2 months and it seems like yesterday that my maternity leave was just ending & my little guy was going to be starting daycare! Yet that was a year ago! It has been an amazing year watching my little guy grow and I am looking forward to the coming year too. Although it is challenging & there are moments I wonder if I can really do this but in the end, motherhood is the best job ever. I absolutely love it! We have decided that we are going to start TTC #2 very soon (which will require us to venture back to the RE. We were going to start in October but I changed jobs & wanted to wait a little bit before having many doctor appointments.) And I have also determined that I would like to move, which my DH is on board with (yeah!!). I am not very happy with where we live and my new job is not very satisfying (yes, after only 2 1/2 months I am saying this = (.) Just have to figure out how to find new jobs and also, sell our house if we find new jobs! It will not be an easy thing to do and it could take a while -- but even if it takes a couple of years, I am OK with that! Just as long as we meet our goal in the end.
2012 will also be a celebration year as it will be our 10th anniversary in November and we both turn the BIG 4-0 this year. I thought if I wrote down some of my beginning of the year thoughts, I can keep looking back on it and at the end of the year, see if I have made any progress towards them. The one I want to make the most progress if I could be choosy would be to have baby #2 in my arms or be pregnant with baby #2. Here we go on the TTC train again! May 2012 be a great year!!
Happy New Year! Wishing everyone the best this coming year = )
